23 game suspensions send message that league won't tolerate unruly behaviour

The Acadie-Chaleur Men's Senior Hockey League is trying to send the message that unruly behaviour won't be tolerated after last Sunday's semi-final match between the Chaleur Rameurs and Tracadie Alpines.

Multiple rough plays and fights resulted in the league's discipline committee slapping players, and even a coach, with   23 combined game suspensions.

League's Rene Savoie says Sunday's events have no place in the league and hopes the message, that similar behaviour will not be tolerated in the playoffs, is heard loud and clear.

The Rameurs and Alpines play their second semi-final series game Saturday, March 18th, in Petit-Rocher.
