25th edition of Bathurst Curl-for-Cancer raises $35K, preliminary figures suggest
It was another successful year for one of the Chaleur region's most popular fundraising events over the weekend.
The 25th edition of Bathurst's Curl-for-Cancer took place at the Bathurst Curling Club on Saturday.
Organizer Claire Wilt says there were a dozen fewer teams than last year but adds preliminary figures suggest this year's event matched the $35,000 collected in 2017.
Money from the event goes to support cancer research.
This year's Curl-for-Cancer was held in memory of Bob Anderson, Rodney DeGrace, Janice Slaney, Sharon Smith, Joan Anne Pettigrew and Mark Murty.
