Acadie-Bathurst Titan begin QMJHL playoffs on a winning note


It appears the Acadie-Bathurst Titan are in it to win it after kicking off the QMJHL with a pair of home wins against he Quebec Remparts.

On Friday, March 24th, the Titan doubled up on the Remparts 4 - 2 to take a 1 - 0 series lead.

Netminder Anthony Dumont-Boucarhd blocked 15 shots while Adam Holwell, Jeff Viel, Daniil Miomanov, and Vladimir Kuznetsov each found the back of the Remparts net once.

Antoine Morand, Dawson Theede, and Noah Dobson named first, second, and third stars of the game respectively.

Then on Saturday, March 25th, the Titan followed up with another win against the Remparts, beating them 6 - 2.

Dumont-Bouchard stopped 20 shots.

Abols and Kuznetsov each scored a pair of goals while Theede and Christophe Boivin each chipped in one.

Theede was named first star of the game while Boivin and Kuznetsov received the second and third star distinction respectively.

The Titan currently lead the first round best-of-seven series 2 games to none.

Game three goes on Tuesday, March 28th, in Quebec.
