Acadie-Bathurst Titan climbs to first in Maritime Division, breaks club record

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan are on a five-game win streak following a 6 - 4 victory over the Sea Dogs in Saint John on Sunday.

Captain Jeff Viel found the back of the Sea Dog's net twice while Mitchell Balmas, Ethan Crossman, Noah Dobson, and Antoine Morand chipped in with a goal-a-piece.

Netminder Jospeh Murdaca stopped 25 shots.

Viel and Dobson were named Second and Third stars of the game respectively.

Though the Titan won all three of its weekend matchups and broke a club record of 66 shots in one game on Sunday, head coach Mario Pouliot says his men weren't on their toes and lacked a sense of urgency.

With just five regular-season games remaining, the Titan are now first in the Maritime Division, third overall, eight points back of the first-place Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

They travel to Saint John on Friday, then welcome the Halifax Mooseheads to the KC Irving Centre on Saturday.
