Acadie-Bathurst Titan extends head coach's contract

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan organization appears to be pleased with the direction its head coach has taken the team since joining the club during the 2014-2015 season.

The Titan has extended Mario Pouliot's contract for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons.

Titan general manager, Sylvain Couturier, says the extension is well deserved and will more than help the Titan complete its rebuilding process.

Under the St-Hyacinthe, QC native's leadership, the Titan progressed steadily and archived its first winning season in six years.

Pouliot served as assistant coach with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies as well as head coach of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar before making his way to Bathurst.

He was also inducted to the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League's Hall of Fame in 2011.
