Acadie-Bathurst Titan falls to Gatineau Olympiques

It was a rough game for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan as the Gatineau Olympiques skated away with a 4 - 1 victory Thursday night.

After a scoreless first period, Gatineau sealed the Titan's fate by notching four goals in the second.

The Titan answered with an unassisted goal by Kristian Kovacik.

Netminders Mark Grametbauer and Tyriq Outen blocked 16 and 9 shots respectively.

Evan MacKinnon was named Second Star of the Game.

A disappointed head coach, Bryan Lizotte, says his squad failed to step it up in the absence of Liam Murphy and Liam Leonard(both out with injuries) who he says bring lots of energy.

Lizotte says his team suffered from a lack of structure Thursday night and will learn a valuable lesson as a result.

The Titan hits the ice at the KC Irving Centre again Friday night against the Saint John Sea Dogs.
