Acadie-Bathurst Titan finish weekend with a pair of losses

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan has extended its losing streak to four games after dropping two games over the weekend.

On Friday, the Charlottetown Islanders edged the Titan 2 - 1.

The lone Titan goal was scored by Liam Murphy, assisted by Cole Rafuse and Michal Ivan in the first period.

Netminder Mark Grametbauer stopped 44 shots and was named First Player of the Game.

It was another close game on Sunday, but it was the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies who emerged victorious with a  3 - 2 win over the Titan.

Ethan Crossman and Daniil Vertiy each found the back of the Huskies' net once while goaltender Tyriq Outen made 41 saves and was named First Star of the Game.

The Titan travels to Cape Breton to take on the Screaming Eagles on Friday.
