Acadie-Bathurst Titan gain momentum in quarterfinal series against the Armada
Netminder Reilly Pickard stopped 34 shots to help the Acadie-Bathurst Titan grab a 2 - 1 series lead with a 4 - 1 victory over the Armada on Tuesday, April 11th.
Vladimir Kuznetsov, Jeff Viel, Rodrigo Abols and Jordan Maher each found the back of the net Armada's net.
Pickard, Dawson Theede, and Viel were named first, second, and third stars of the game respectively.
Titan head coach Mario Pouliot says Pickard was "sharp" in Game 3 and gave the Titan the confidence it needed to win.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL playoffs, Saint John downed Val-d'Or 7 - 3 to take a 3 - 0 quarter-final series lead while Rouyn-Noranda finished the night with a 2 - 1 second-round series lead with a 3 - 1 win over Chicoutimi.
Charlottetown and Cape Breton were supposed to play their Game 3 last night, however problems with the ice saw that game rescheduled for Wednesday, April 12th.
The Titan hit the KC Irving Centre again tonight for game four against the Armada.
Pouliot says his men will have to keep a level head and be better on the forecheck.
Also in the QMJHL quarter-finals tonight, it's Saint John vs. Val-d'Or and Rouyn-Noranda visits Chicoutimi.
