Acadie-Bathurst Titan leads QMJHL finals 2 - 1 following win over Armada in Game 3

A noisy packed KC Irving Cenrtre saw the Acadie-Bathurst Titan take a 2 - 1 series lead in the QMJHL finals with a 5 - 2 win over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Tuesday night.

German Rubtsov and Olivier Galipeau each scored on a power play in the first period assisted by Noah Dobson.

Antoine Morand scored the game-winner in the second period while Samuel L'Italien scored a short-handed goal in the third followed up by a goal by Jeff Viel.

Netminder Evan Fitzpatrick was busy between the pipes, blocking 26 shots.

Rubtsov, Morand, and Justin Ducharme were named First, Second, and Third Stars of the Game respectively.

Joel Bouchard, head coach for the Armada, isn't discouraged by the loss though.

The Titan outshot the Armada 32 - 28 in what Bouchard calls says one of the worst games his team played this year.

Bouchard says they'll figure out what went wrong before hitting the ice for Game 4.

The Titan is looking for another big win going into Game 4 at the KC Irving Centre Wednesday night.

Head coach Mario Pouliot says his squad needs to stay calm, grounded, and focus on what they need to do to win.

The series shifts back to Boisbriand on Friday for Game 5.
