Acadie-Bathurst Titan staying put, says Q-League commissioner
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League says the Acadie-Bathurst Titan isn't going anywhere.
Despite local rumours, Commissioner Gilles Courteau tells the Telegraph Journal the team is financially stable and will remain in Bathurst.
Earlier this year it was reported the Titan's ownership group had lost nearly a million dollars since purchasing the franchise a little over five years ago and was short an average of 500 fans per game.
Club president Serge Theriault has said there are no immediate plans to sell the team.
The Titan just swept its second-round playoff series against the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
They face the Victoriaville Tigers in semi-final playoff action on Friday.
