Acadie-Bathurst Titan sweeps Phoenix in overtime

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan is heading to the QMJHL semi-finals!

The Titan swept its best-of-seven series against the Sherbrooke Phoenix 3 - 2 in overtime Wednesday night.

Liam Murphy scored his third playoff goal five minutes into overtime to confirm the Titan's ticket to the next round and earning him the First Star of the Game designation.

Netminder Evan Fitzpatrick blocked 28 shots while Ethan Crossman and Jeff Viel chipped in a goal-a-piece.

Elsewhere in second-round Q-League playoff action: 

Charlottetown swept Halifax out of the playoffs with a 4 - 2 win in Game Four.

Moncton managed to stave off elimination by edging the Armada 5 - 4 in Game Four.  The Armada leads that best-of-seven series 3 - 1.

Playoff action continues Friday night as Moncton hosts the Armada for Game Five and Victoriaville goes into Game Four against Drummondville with a 2 - 1 series lead.
