Alcohol believed to be a factor in early morning crash in Middle River

Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a garage in Middle River earlier this week.

Peggy Sanfacon tells the Northern Light that her household was awoken by the family dog barking after a truck, allegedly driven by a 34-year-old Saint-Sauveur man, ran over a snow bank and ploughed right into their garage early Tuesday morning.

Sanfacon says the contents of the garage were damaged, including tools and an side-by-side ATV.

Mounties say nobody was hurt and that alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.

Sgt. Mark Tremblay says alcohol-related, and other charges are pending.
