Annual Chaleur Region Tourism Guide officially launched
The annual Chaleur Region Tourism guide was officially launched on Tuesday, January 31st.
The guide is used to promote the Chaleur region and show visitors what the area has to offer.
Petit-Rocher's Vincent Poirier says this year's guide features a top ten list of must-see wonders of the Bay of Chaleur and highlights popular events like CCNB's Xtreme Downhill ice-cross race, the 140km Nepisiguit Challenge wilderness race, and the Festival des Rameurs bay crossing.
Poirier says 2017 is a transition year for the guide.
Previously it was produced by a committee comprised of Poirier, Donna Landry: Town of Beresford, Michaël Roy: Village of Petit-Rocher, Nicole Carrier: Village of Belledune, Isabelle Morrier: Destination Bathurst, Jennifer Daigle: The Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce, Rose Krysko: Pabineau First Nation, Christine Frenette: Atlantic Host, the Village of Nigadoo and the City of Bathurst.
Production of the guide will now be in the hands of the Chaleur Regional Tourism Office.
25,000 copies were printed and are available to local tourism operators.
Poirier says the guides will also be distributed throughout New Brunswick, at tourism shows in other provinces, as well as in Europe.
