Annual International Festival switches to different Chaleur region location

The Chaleur Multicultural Association's annual International Festival goes on Saturday, and for the first time ever, it's happening outside of the city of Bathurst.

President Euclide Chiasson says the change of venue fulfills the association's regional mandate and that it could even be held in a different location next year as well.

It was originally held at the Promenade Waterfront in Bathurst before being moved to the KC Irving Centre, and Chiasson says visitors were calling for a change of venue.

The festival will take place behind Le Tournesol School.

In case of rain, it will be held at the Petit-Rocher Arena.
