Another profitable year reported by Belledune Port Authority
The Port of Belledune is reporting another productive year.
At the Belledune Port Authority's annual general meeting on Thursday, acting chair Paul Shannon reported a net profit of more than $2.6 million, an increase of 14 per cent over last year.
Shannon expects 2018 will be an exciting year as the port celebrates its 50th anniversary and steers a course that's expected to benefit its clients, First Nations and the people of northern New Brunswick.
Meanwhile, the port contributed more than $950,000 of its net income to community initiatives within the region.
