As many as 600 expected for annual Chaleur 10K
Some of the best runners in the province will be in the region this weekend for the 27th edition of the Chaleur 10K marathon.
Chaleur Road Runners' Club President Mario Boudreau says the flat course and downhill slope makes it a popular event among runners, noting the fastest 10K provincial record was set at the event a few years ago.
Up to 600 runners are expected to take part in the race on Saturday, which includes 5K walk, 5K run, and 10K run events.
Following the race, Boudreau says organizers will recognize significant contributions made by two individuals to the Chaleur region's running community.
The finish line is at the Beresford Arena.
