Atlantic Canada Marketing and Export Centre aims to boost New Brunswick exports
The Atlantic Canada Marketing and Export Centre (AMEC) is receiving $147,000 from the federal government to attempt to boost New Brunswick exports.
ACOA says the funding will help the not-for-profit organization, based in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, conduct a feasibility study and a detailed business plan.
A so-called "virtual centre" aims to support the marketing efforts of small and medium-sized enterprises in New Brunswick.
AMEC's Chair of the Board of Directors, Norman Thériault, says in a news release, "The centre will become a unique, accessible, modern and efficient electronic platform for exporting the products of our companies in order to increase their profitability, create jobs and thus contribute to the economic development of all."
