B.L.A.S.T. Swim Club wins medals, breaks provincial records at Marianne Limpert Provincials

The BLAST Swim Club is back from the Marianne Limpert Provincial Swimming Championships in Edmundston where it attempted to defend its provincial title over the weekend.

Though the host club emerged victorious, BLAST managed to walk away with 42 individual medals and six relay medals while breaking several provincial and club records in the process.

Jasmine Foran smashed her own provincial record in the 50m breast stroke while Julie Savoie broke the provincial record for the 50 and 100m breast stroke.  

Emilie Schofield broke a 20 year old BLAST club record in the 400m freestyle.

Foran took down her own club records in the 50m breaststroke and 100m freestyle while the BLAST senior women's team broke its club record in the 4x100 medley relay.   

The team also landed a pair of 'High Point' awards, scoring the highest combined team score for boys 11 year old and under and girls ages 14 and 15.

Sam Chiasson:  4 gold, 2 silver;
Daniel Greer:  4 gold; 
Aidan Degrace:  3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze; 
Tristan Sivret Hadley:  2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze; 
Daniel Newman: 1 silver, 2 bronze; 
Julie Savoie:  2 gold;
Sarah Jasmine Leblanc:  3 silver, 1 bronze;
Jordan Pickard:  1 silver.

Relay Medals:

Senior women:  1 gold, 1 silver;
Boys(13&14): 2 gold; 
Boys(11 and under):  1 gold, 1 bronze.
