Bathurst and firefighters union ratify three year collective agreement

A three year collective agreement has been ratified by the city of Bathurst and the union representing its firefighters.

The deal includes annual wage increases of two and a half per cent as well as improvements to Health and Safety, and Physical Training Program initiatives.

CUPE Local 3040 president Frank Sullivan says the contract benefits both parties while Bathurst mayor Paolo Fongemie says both parties approached negotiations with a vision focused on collaboration.
