Bathurst archer to compete in France following gold medal win in Quebec

A Bathurst man has been selected to represent team Canada at the World Archery Championships.

Wayne Christie earned the right to shoot for team Canada following a gold medal win in the long bow category at the Canadian Archery 3D Championships in Quebec earlier this month.

Christie tells the Northern Light that he loves the spirit of the archery community as well as the focus and determination the sport demands.

The World Championships go September 19th in France.
