Bathurst-area man pleads guilty to stealing $1,000 in food from Chaleur Regional Hospital
A Bathurst-area man has been arrested after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 worth of food from the cafeteria at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
A cafeteria employee notified police after catching two individuals in the act last Wednesday.
Chad Vokey-Lepage pleaded guilty to four charges on Tuesday, while the second individual has so far not been charged.
The Vitalite Health Network says the food was recovered but was thrown out as a safety precaution.
The network says it will be stepping up security in that area of the hospital.
