Bathurst city councillor resigns
Bathurst council is bidding farewell to one of its own.
Councillor Jeff Glendenning has resigned from council after accepting a new position outside of the province.
Mayor Paolo Fongemie says he's disappointed to see Glendenning go, noting his 'youth and entrepreneurial experience brought an interesting element to the dynamics of city council.'
Glendenning's resignation is effective immediately.
A byelection to fill his council seat is expected sometime in the spring of 2019.
