Bathurst educator recognized with Excellence in Education Award

A Bathurst teacher is among eight individuals from New Brunswick's Francophone education sector presented with an Excellence in Education Award in recognition of exceptional work during the 2016-17 school year.

Cite de l'Amitie's Anne Louise Dube received her award at the 24th annual Excellence in Education Awards ceremony in Fredericton on Saturday, November 4th.

Other Francophone North-East School District employees who were recognized with awards include Akemi Takatsuka from Polyvalente Louis-Mailloux in Caraquet, Carmene Duguay from Garderie les P'tites Bottines in Lameque

The awards recognize those who show exceptional dedication, ingenuity, leadership, passion, and professionalism throughout the education and early learning systems.

Education Minister and Bathurst-West-Beresford MLA Brian Kenny says each recipient is passionate about providing students with innovative learning experiences, while ensuring lessons are inclusive to different learning styles.
