Bathurst hires new Fire Chief

The City of Bathurst has hired a new Fire Chief.

The city says Marc Arseneault has been hired to replace Donald Laffoley who is set to retire at the end of June.

Arseneault has a wealth of fire-fighting experience with the Canadian Armed Forces as an  Airport and Shipboard Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Platoon Chief, Chief Fire Inspector, School Training Plan Manager and Senior School Instructor.

Arseneault will officially begin his duties on May 27th to ensure a smoothe transition ahead of Laffoley's retirement.
