Bathurst man accused of leading police on chase to enter plea Monday
A plea is expected Monday by a Bathurst man alleged to have lead police on a chase through the city following a firearms-related complaint.
37 year old Marcel Huard was charged in November with with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and fleeing from police after allegedly brandishing a firearm at a local bar.
At an earlier court appearance Huard's lawyer told the court he had been hearing voices for quite some time and had been self-medicating.
A psychiatric assessment later determined Huard was fit to stand trial.
