Bathurst man accused of threatening bishop due back in court Monday

A Bathurst man accused of threatening a Roman Catholic Bishop  in November is due back in court on Monday.

68 year old Gregory Pitre charged with a number of offences,  including uttering death threats, possessing a restricted firearm with ammunition, as well as carrying  a concealed weapon and breaching probation

A psychiatric assessment last month determined Pitre would not be criminally responsible for his action but fit to stand trial.

A court-ordered publication ban is in place.
