Bathurst man's blue bracelet campaign nets $9K for oncology clinic
A fundraising by an oncology patient at the Chaleur Regional Hospital has raised $9,000 towards the fight against cancer.
Brad Chamberlain, who is fighting esophageal cancer, began selling blue bracelets for $2-a-piece earlier this year to raise money for the hospital's oncology clinic.
He says the bracelets represent the team and support he and his family received during his battle with cancer.
Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation chair Jean-Guy Robichaud says Chamberlain and his initiative are prime examples of the courage and determination of people who want to make a difference in improving health care and services in the region.
