Bathurst man sentenced to 4 years behind bars on drug-related charges

A Bathurst man has been sentenced to four years behind bars after pleading guilty to several drug-related charges.

The Bathurst Police Force says Daniel Marc Mazerolle was charged earlier this year with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis resin, and breach of an undertaking.

Police say the 58-year-old man pleaded guilty to all of the charges on Oct. 30.

His sentencing hearing took place on Tuesday.
