Bathurst police issue several tickets for trail violations

The Bathurst Police Force is reminding ATV users to have their paper work in order and to follow the rules when hitting the trails.

This after several people received tickets during a patrol of local New Brunswick Trails by local police and the province's Off Road Vehicle Enforcement division on Tuesday.

The department says it issued three tickets for ATVs with no trail permits, one for not being registered, and one for being driven on a non-motorized trail.

It says some trails are for walking and bicycles only and that breaking the rules could result in a fine of $172.50.
