Bathurst's mayor makes case for new Francophone school
Bathurst's mayor thinks a new Francophone school in east Bathurst would help entice young Francophone families to settle in that part of the city.
Paolo Fongemie made the case for replacing the Assumption Academy school at a recent meeting of the Francophone Northeast School District.
He's also brought local politicians up to speed on the importance of the project.
Fongemie says the current school is one of the oldest in the region and is now obsolete.
