Bathurst's supply drive for Acadian Peninsula a success

The Chaleur region has lived up to its reputation of pulling together to help its neighbours in their time of need.

On Tuesday, January 31st, the city of Bathurst filled two trucks, hauling covered trailers, to capacity with donations of food, personal care and hygiene items for people on the Acadian Peninsula who were left without power following last week's devastating ice storm.

More than $18,000 in gas cards was donated as well.

The City of Bathurst thanks all those who generously donated towards Acadian Peninsula relief efforts.

Meanwhile, members of the city's Fire Department travelled to Neguac yesterday to help with relief efforts there.
