Bathurst woman in Ottawa for 'Daughters of the Vote' summit

A Bathurst woman is among hundreds of women from across Canada in Ottawa this week for the 'Daughters of the Vote' summit.

Madison Kenny and 337 other women, ages 18 to 23, are attending sittings of the House of Commons and Senate on Wednesday and Thursday.

In addition to representing their respective ridings, each delegate will communicate their vision for the country.

The summit aims to familiarize participants with Canada's political institutions so they're equipped and inspired to participate in the formal political sphere and take action in their local communities.
