Bay of Chaleur Minor Hockey Association applauds removal of controversial motion by Hockey NB

A decision to pull a controversial motion by hockey New Brunswick, that would have resulted in young female hockey players being forced to find all-girls teams to play for, is being applauded by the Bay of Chaleur Minor Hockey Association.

The motion was withdrawn before voting could take place at Hockey New Brunswick's annual general meeting over the weekend.

Bay of Chaleur Minor Hockey Association's Brian Landry says parents of young hockey players are pleased with the decision and that kids will get to play the game they love close to home.
