Belledune Port Authority chips in $50k towards hospital foundation's $5 million goal
The Belledune Port Authority is doing its part to better the lives of patients and improve services offered at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
The port authority has committed $50,000 over the next five years to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation's fundraising campaign that aims to raise $5 million to help with a more than $200 million expansion and modernization of the hospital and some of its programs.
President & CEO Denis Caron says it's a privilege for the port to have the region's support so in turn it supports local events through participation, involvement and sponsorship.
The port authority donated more than $75,000 to local initiatives in 2016 alone.
