Beresford runner kicks off duathlon season with podium finish in Moncton

A Beresford athlete kicked off the duathlon season with a bang on Sunday.

Lee Roy completed the Moncton Duathlon, which is comprised of 4.6 kilometres of running and 20 kilometres of cycling, in just under 56 minutes – good enough for first place.

Despite the top finish, Roy says he could have performed better had the weather been milder.

He now has his sights set on the Mont-Tremblant Ironman, taking place June 24.
