Campbellton unveils cost of 'leisure card' required for Civic Centre use

It's going to cost you more to participate in activities at the Memorial Civic Centre like hockey and swimming.

Campbellton unveiled the cost of its new 'leisure cards' for outside residents and is a requirement for those wishing to participate in activities at the facility.

It will cost each person $200.00 a season for a card, however there city says families of four will receive a rebate.

The municipality decided to implement the card as a way to offset the cost to operate the centre which generated a deficit of nearly $1.2 million.

Residents of Campbellton, Tide Head and Dalhousie will receive their cards for free.
