Canadian Blood Services axes donor clinics in Campbellton & Dalhousie

Mayors of Campbellton and Dalhousie are upset  there will no longer be blood donor clinics offered in their communities.

Canadian Blood Services says the mobile sites in those two municipalities are the only New Brunswick operations being dropped as the organization aims to find efficiencies.

Dalhousie mayor Normand Pelletier says he was told it was because there weren't enough donors to make the trip to Dalhousie worth while.

Campbellton mayor Stephanie Anglehart-Paulin tells the Tribune she intends to pursue the matter and suggests holding a combined clinic for Campbellton and Dalhousie.

The final blood donor clinics in those two communities are scheduled for May.
