Canadian Red Cross assists couple after Cornhill-Area fire

The Canadian Red Cross says a couple are temporarily homeless after a fire destroyed a mobile home on a rural road about 15 km west of Petit-Codiac on Saturday morning.

The aid agency says no one was home when the fire was reported around 3 a.m. yesterday at 549 Cornridge Road.

Red Cross disaster volunteers have assisted the couple with buying clothing, food and other basics.

The couple is temporarily staying with friends and the Canadian Red Cross says there were no injuries reported.
