Caraquet's Claude Snow to be honoured by Governor General Julie Payette
Caraquet's Claude Snow will be invested today into the Order of Canada.
Already a member of the Order of New Brunswick, Snow is being honoured by Governor General Julie Payette for working to improve social conditions throughout the Acadian Peninsula.
A champion of social justice, and author of several publications and studies, he has been working for nearly half a century to defend the rights of the poor.
Snow will be one of 22 Members and five Officers invested today.
Earlier this week, it was announced Patricia "Patsy" Gallant from Campbellton and Jean-Claude Savoie from Saint-Quentin would become Members of the Order of Canada at a future ceremony.
