Case of tuberculosis diagnosed at U de M's Moncton campus
A case of tuberculosis has been diagnosed at the University de Moncton's Moncton campus.
Regional Medical Officer of Health Dr. Yves Leger says the risk to the university community is low and that members of the Public Health team will follow up with those who are of the highest risk of having been infected by the patient.
Tuberculosis typically appears as a persistent cough and is usually accompanied by fever, fatigue, and night sweats.
Other symptoms could include bloody sputum, weight loss and loss of appetite.
