Centennial Bridge in Miramichi reduced to one lane for renovation project
If you're planning a road trip that includes crossing Miramichi's 50-year-old Centennial Bridge, you'll probably want to leave a bit early.
The bridge is reduced to one lane as work on a multi-year $83-million renovation project gets underway.
Though the project may inconvenience some motorists, Miramichi Mayor Adam Lordon says the end result will be a signature piece of infrastructure for the community.
Next week, you'll have to take the long way around as the bridge will be closed entirely for four days beginning Sunday, April 16th.
This year's work is expected to wrap up in October.
