Certain flight cancellations necessary to complete expansion project at Bathurst Regional Airport
A multi-million dollar expansion project at the Bathurst Regional Airport is well under way and management says that will result in a few cancelled flight this fall.
In order to complete the runway, which is being lengthened by approximately 900 feet, Executive Director Jennifer Henry says certain flights on October 10th, 11th and 12th will be cancelled:
- October 10th, 11th and 12th - Cancellation of round trip - AC8740/AC8745 (1405 YUL/1710 ZBF)
- Oct 10th and 11th - Cancellation of overnight round trip - AC8742/AC8739 (2105 YUL/0550 ZBF)
That means the last flight to depart the airport will be on October 10th: Departure AC8739 (0550 ZBF); and that the next flight to land will be October 13th: Arrival AC8742 (00:20 ZBF).
The airport says Air Canada will communicate with those who have booked flights on those days to reschedule their departure or landing date.
