Citizens to be consulted on idea of regional police force next week
Members of the public will get to hear the findings of a study on a regional police force next week.
It's findings and recommendations were presented to the Chaleur Regional Service Commission earlier this month and will be presented at Bathurst City Council's meeting on Monday.
The recommendations include holding a tendering process for police services or forming a single Chaleur Regional Police Force.
Following the presentation, the public will have a chance to ask questions.
There are currently three police forces in the region: The Bathurst Police Force, BNPP, and RCMP.
