Codiac RCMP investigating armed robbery at convenience store

The Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday at the Needs convenience store on Morton Avenue in Moncton.

Police say a male suspect entered the store around 9:00 p.m. and demanded money from the employee, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The New Brunswick RCMP's Police Dog Services were called and a perimeter was set up, however, the suspect was not located.

RCMP describe the man as standing 6' tall with a mid to heavy set build, and say he was wearing a dark, hooded jacket.

Anyone with information about the robbery or who may have seen a man fitting the description around the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact Codiac Regional RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
