Colourful rocks with positive messages popping up in Chaleur region

A number of colourfully painted rocks with positive and inspirational messages have been popping up all over the Chaleur region.

Lisa Roy started the initiative after discovering a similar one based in Vancouver and estimates she has painted and placed more than 20 so far.

She started the "Bathurst Rocks!" Facebook page where people can post a picture of the rocks they find.

Roy tells the Northern Light those lucky enough to find a stone can either keep it, or hide it in a new spot for others to find.

At last weekend's Relay for Life fundraiser at the KC Irving Centre, a cancer survivor found one with the words "You Got This" painted on it.

The Facebook page has been in existence a little over a month and now has more than 550 members.
