Committee developing "age friendly" action plan for Bathurst

The City of Bathurst is looking to engage its citizens in making the community a better, healthier and safer place for seniors to live and thrive.

Councillor Samuel Daigle says a committee has created and is in the process of developing an action plan for taking an "age friendly" approach to improving the quality of life for seniors within the city.

The committee seeks to build on the movement, initiated by the World Health Organization,  that aims to meet the needs of an aging population, promote the active participation and wellness of seniors in the community as well as develop a more inclusive community.
