CRA website back up and running after being shut down for precautionary measures
(CP) - Canadians can once again file their tax returns online after the Canada Revenue Agency took the service down as a precautionary measure on Friday, March 10th.
A notice was posted on the agency's website through the weekend that said many tax services, including electronic tax filing, had been taken down because officials had detected ``an Internet vulnerability.''
The services affected included ``My Account,'' ``My Business Account,'' ``Netfile,'' ``E-FILE'' and ``Auto-Fill My Return.''
The service was restored on Sunday, March 13th, and the C-R-A says its website was not hacked.
