D.F.O. probing death of endangered right whale in Gulf of St. Lawrence
The federal Fisheries Department is looking into what happened to an endangered right whale found dead in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
DFO says the carcass was noticed during a surveillance flight.
The department says it is working with three independent agencies to find the whale.
Human-generated noise has been noted in the past as a key factor endangering whales off the East Coast.
