Decision on 2019 'Crashed Ice' event in Bathurst expected this month
A decision on whether CCNB's Xtreme Crashed Ice will return to Bathurst in 2019 is expected this month.
Hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators turned out to College Hill for the first and second edition of the event, however warm weather last year damaged the track and caused its cancellation.
Bathurst's mayor and event co-founder Paolo Fongemie tells the Northern Light he's hesitant about the event's future in the city because of the weather.
Event co-president Bruno Richard says this year's event was held in Memramcook where organizers battled rain to keep the track in good order.
A decision is expected by the end of April.
