Documentary highlighting N.B. music scene launches Wednesday

A much-anticipated documentary about New Brunswick's small-but-mighty music scene officially launched this week.

'The Capital Project', which includes a wide range of music genres, launched on YouTube on Wednesday is broken down into small, digestible segments that will be added to the channel weekly over the next six months.

Each of the segments features themes like 'First Albums', Spot Light Series', 'Music Education', and 'The Music Biz'.

Producer Arthur Thomas says series has something for everyone and that those who may be unfamiliar with New Brunswick's music scene will be amazed at what's happening in their own back yard.

The documentary has recorded more than 120 performances, as well as over 200 interviews with bands, solo musicians, music educators, theatre performers, festival organizers, venue owners and music promoters.

You can check out 'The Capital Project' via its YouTube channel.
